JK Thompson Construction Management is owned and operated by Josh & Katy Thompson. Collectively they have over 22 years of experience in the residential construction industry. The last 7 being full time. Previous to the last 7, Josh was on staff for 11 years for a local church in Tyler.

In the last 7 years they have managed the construction of over 50 spec, custom, and multifamily projects. They have a broad spectrum of satisfied clients ranging from real estate investors, to home buyers, and also to people who have chosen us to manage the construction of their custom homes.

Their company is unique in that while Josh handles the day to day operations of construction, Katy focuses on the design choices to make sure everything is in keeping with current trends and goes well together as a whole. Having a lady's touch on a home really makes a huge difference with the end product! It's even down to the simple things like the locations to place electrical outlets around the vanity area. There are things that ladies think of that men just don't, so Katy is a HUGE asset to our company and that makes us unique.

Every home they build comes with a third-party builder warranty called a 1-2-10 Builder Warranty. They are proud that no one in all these years has needed to use it, but it's there as a third-party if needed. The 1 stands for 1 year on all workmanship, the 2 stands for 2 years on all things mechanical, and the 10 is for 10 years of structural warranty. That gives the homeowner an added layer of peace of mind. Also, all their homes receive third-party inspections throughout the entire process of the build. Again, this is an added peace of mind to their clients.

Their subcontractors don't change from house to house. In fact several exclusively work for their family. This is another peace of mind to the homeowner that quality is not sacrificed for the sake of the dollar. They’re not out seeking and taking the lowest bid. They have established contractors who have a proven track record of service.
